L O N D O N, mg. The angry memorial faid to have been fent by the States General to the Britith coart, is not properly (pea L'ng, a national affair, but concerns the India Company of both nations : the Dutch -pretending that our con’s piny have behaved unwarrantably and injured their company. ; Letters from fome of the Captains errived at Gibral- tar, who go: out of Cadiz, fay that there were about 25 {vi! of merchant fhips, befides 2 60 gun fhip and a frigaie, that had notice given them by an Englifh Con- ful, a few hours before the Spanith Governor received his Difpatches from Madrid ; and that 2 great number of Spanith boats, full of failors and foldiers, werc fent to go on board our fhips, to take off the Rudders; but 'our people fired at them, funkfome of their boats and killed feveral of their men.
