B O S T O N, Ofoh. 12 : On Thurlday Evening 1aft were committed to his Mijefty’s Goal in Bofton, Seth Hudfoh,and Jofhua How, being charged with forgingTreafurer’s Notes; and on Saturday laft were apprehended in the Conn- ty of Worcefter, Jacob!Stevens, and Benjaman Fifke, who were charged with being concerned in the ‘fame, and are this Day expected in Town:..Several forged Notes have been put off in this T'own, to the Amount of about Eight Hundred Pounds...- To pre- went further Impofitions of this Kind, the following Account of {aid Notes is inferted.....All the forged Notes which have yet appeared, are every Way like the true Notes, fave that the written Part is badly done. John Stevens of this Town csme in the above Veflel,and informs, that while he was at Mer- tineco, which was 29 Days, 62 Prizes was brought in there, 8 into Grenades, 2 into St. Cruz, s large Ship with 700Hog(heads of Sugar fromJamaica, was fent to France, 15 Ranfomers wére alfo brought in thers, and two Veflels were retaken by our Ships of war : during his flay in that Ifland there was an Exchange of Prifoners by the Raifonsble Man of War, of 100 Men ; and that about 200 others »e- mained in that Ifland confined as Prifoners of War.
