SIR, Y His Majefty’s Ship Dublin, 1take the B Opportunity of acquainting you, That I have ordered her to Halifax to cateen and refit again for the Sea with all poffible Expedition, and to be ready to proceed again to the WeitIndies by the middle, or af faribeft the latter End of September ; and as the Vefiels from North America have been par- ticularly unfortunate in falling into the Hands of the Enemy, to the great Detriment of the Colonies, I am to defire your Excellency will be pleafed to give timely NOTICE to the TRADE ac the different Ports within the Limits of your Government, That if they proceed to Halifax by the Time before men- tioned, Captain Gafcoigne of the Dublin will take them under his Care and Proteétion, and "give them fafe Convoy to the Ifland of Bar- bados, and I fhall order One of His Majefty’s Ships to fee them in Safety from thence to the different Ilands they may be bound to within the Limits of my Command.
