We hear that the General Wall packet boat, Capt. Lutwidge, who left this port the 4th of March laft, for Falmouth, on her paflige off the Weltern I{lands, met with 2 large French privateer of 24 guns, whom fhe was obliged to engage for fome time, but moftly made # running fight, the whole lafting near 4 hours, in which time a fhot came in at the ftern and carried away Capt. ‘Lutwidge’s thigh, of which wound he languifhed three days before-he died.
