CANADA. This Conquelt was preceeded by a Viftory over more than three Times our Number, and which has entirely broke the French Power in America. The Slain on the Enemy’s Side were numerous ; but ours, tho’ inconfiderable, is aggravated to the higheft De- gree in that General WOLFE is among the Slain—his Zeal for his Majefty’s Honour was unrival'd—bis Bravery and A&ivity, as an Offi- cer, had made him the Darling of the Soldiery. —He liv'd to fee the Enemy fly before him, and then expir'd in a full Blaze of Glory. Bout ¢ 0’Clock this Afterngon came in a Veflel in 11 Days from Quebec, and brings an Account that Quebec is in the Hands of the Englith.—General WOLFE with 4000 Men landed above the Town, and on the 135th ult. the French came out of their Trenches (it is faid 19ooo) and engag’d him in Battle. The Engiifhi beat them and purfued them to theWalls of the City, kill’d; wounded and took Prifon- ers 1500 of ’em.—Gen.
