Laf Tuefday died at Concord, aged abput 66 Years, the Honourable James Minor, Efg; one of the Members of His Majefly’s Council of this Provinee. Laft Tuelday Morning died, in the 70th Year of his Age, after a long llinefs, Brigadier-General HaTch ; a Gentleman, who during his Life, fuf- tained with Honor, divers civil and military Pofts within this Province. His Funeral is to be attended at bis Houfe in Dorchefter this Afternoon. The fame Day died at his Lodgings in thisTown, ° Captain LieutenantTromas BLoomER, of theRoyal Attillery, in the 23d Year of his Age: And on Thurfday Afternoon was decently interred with the ufual Military Honours. Butler avho came to Town laft Wednefday ; by him we are informed, That 18 Ships of the Line, 6 Frigates, 4 Bombe, 2 Fire- Ships, and 60 Sail of Tranfports with 12,000 Land Forces on board, were arrived at Barbados in about 10 Weeks from England, having put in a Forteight or three Weeks at Madeira : This News they‘had at St. Kitts by a Letter from a Gentleman of Credit in Barbados.—It is uncertain what Place they are defign’d againft ; a Perfon wko arrived there from Guadaloupe and had been taken, affirmed from his own Knowledge, that a great Number of the Inha- bitants had buiit Huts on the Mountains, and re- moved the moft valuable of their Effefls there, ex- pe&ing an Invafion ; and that they were exercifing the Negroes in order to defend the Place.—It is thought they may with Eafe take Guadaloupe, and that they will then proceed to Martineco.— Upon the Arrival of the Flect the beft Pilots for the Service were immediately. procur’d ; and as it is now forty Days fince,. we hope e’re long to give the Publick an Account of the Reduflion of Mar- tineco or Guadaloupe. t TFhe Captains Stockles and Couch of this Place is arrived at Antigua, and Ofborne at St. Kitts.
