STILWELL MARRIES " MRS..L, LATHAW Edison's Associate in Unionville Weds at 69 Unionville, Nov. 11 (®—Charles 17 Btilwell, 69, brother-in-law of Thomas A. Edison, and his bride, the former Mrs. Minnie L. Latham of Atlanta, Ga., were on a honey- moon today. They were marricd here Saturdav by Rev. I. H. Sawyer, pastor of the Methodist church. Stilwell's sister Mary was Edison’s first wife. He went to work for the Edison company when he was 12 years old and was associated with Edison in the development of the in- candescent lamp. ,He was the first manager of the Edison company's Canadian ente:- prises. He lost his sight while mak- ing an experiment at the’ com- Ppany’'s plant at Hamilton, Ont. His fiest wife died in 1916. He has three sons and four daughters. MRS, AMES WINS DIVORCE DECREE Former Sociefy Girl Claims Actor Husband Cruel Los Angeles, Nov. 11 (A — Mus. Muriel Oakes Ames, former New ,York society girl and member of the Junior League, has obtained a divorce from Robert Ames, screen actor. The decrce was granted in rior court vesterday on grounds of cruelty and habitual drunkenness. The case was uncontested. “He was drinking all when we were married gan. Tl February 10, Ames testified. She said he stopped drinking v a year ago when he became “sulky, bad tempered and irritable,” until they scparated October 10 last. This announcement came out of the meeting today of the dircctors of the system held in New York. Mr. Campbell has had 23 years' service with the road. He will re- tain his connection in an advisory capacity, assisting the matters relating to traffic. Trank B. Wall has been appointed general traffic manager in charge of the traffic of the New Haven road, the New England Stcamship Co., the Hartford & New York Transpor- tation Co. and the New York, West- chester & Boston railway, cfiective December 1. Mr. Campbell, who began rail- roading at 17, has been connected with different roads over a period of 55 years, from jobs ranging from tclegraph operator on the Cairo & Vincennes railway to vice president of the Great Northern. ‘e was born in Liberty, Ind., Junc 10, 1858 The new general traffic manager, Mr. Wall, was born at Hartford May 8, 1386 and began his railroad carcer | as a yard clerk during a summer vacation while attending high school. Upon leaving college, he worked fn the freight agent's office at New Haven and soon afterward was transferred to the New England Steamship Co. In 1916 he was pro- moted to superintendent of that line and in 1920 became assistant to the vice president. A year ago he was made an assistant to Mr. Campbell. His father was a conductor on the New Haven road for many years. Tt is estimated that there are be tween 700,000 and 1,000,000 trap- pers in America at present.
