NEW BRITAIN DAILY HERALD, TUESDAY, JULY 29, 1930. City Advertisement| Bids will be received from New Britain Coal Dealers under condi- | tions listed below, covering the re- | quirements of city departments for anthracite coal. Bids must be de- livered in the office of the City Clerk not later than 6 p. m. Daylight Sav- | ing Time, Aug. 1. 1930. 1. Coal must be clean and free | from dirt. 2. Point of origin of coal must be given; namely, the mine and mining company producing the coal. 5. Coal must be trimmed back in the bins. 4. After awarding successful bidder must commence deliveries of coal promptly so that those departments requiring coal im- mediately can be taken care of. The contractor shall not de- liver any coal until he has received & written order from the depart- ment requiring the coal. 6. - Weight tickets must be de- contracts, a livered with each load and corres- | ponding duplicates must accompany each invoice. 7. The committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. All deliveries shall be under the supervision of the City Sealer of Weights and Measures. 8 The successful bidder or bid- ders are to furnish a personal or surety bond to be for 25 per cent of the amount of the contract. 9. All items are in net tons. 10. Payment for all deliveries will be made thirty d from date of invoice. 11. Prices must be based on the present market. Any increase in the price of coal at the mine or in crease in freight rates may be added during the life of the contract. In the same manner, should any de- creases take place, the City of New Britain is to have the benefit of any such decreases, but under no condi- tion is the contractor to be allowed any increased profit because of any increase in cost or freight rates. Below are listed the requirements of all departments with the capacity of the storage bins of each. Where the storage bins are not enough to accommedate the full specification, it is understood that the deliv are to be divided into cqual parts and that where two or more deliveries are necessary, the contractor will fill the immediately on notice from the city department that the supply of coal is within two weeks of running out. apacity 40 50 Nut Exg Stove Police Dept 100 Municipal Garage Tire Alarm Head- quarters Fire Dept.
