Tt is no easy trick to get lemon- ade unbottled in London but with the usual flair for solving problems that do not matter I have found a way. One asks for a “lemon squash.” They bring you a lemon cut in halves, a bucket of ice, a lemon squeezer, spoon, Sugar, straws — in fact everything but a passport and you make it yourself. I not only made lemonade but removed ink stains from my finger with the rinds. At breakfast this morning in one of the hurry up places on Jermyn street the waitresg seemed surpris- ed at my heavy order. I got and de- voured part of it but the rest never came although I waited and waited. COMMUNICATED Wants Park Board to Name All Parks I‘Eemor of the Herald: | | Sydi- The discussion of park names ig pertinent and interesting. Obviously, those of foreign birthg | who offered their wealth and lives | to aid this country deserve recogni- | tion. It is my opinion they have had and are having it. Counties and | cities, rivers and lakes, and multi- | tudes of streets have been named | tor them. | When people of diverse national | extractions in cosmopolitan cities like New Britain undertake to change | established park names or introduce | names for new ones, they are liable | to breed troubles and complications. So far, in New Britain, but two or | three racial groups have agitated; | but there is reason to believe that other elements will clamor for at- tention. If all are recognized, then * will be sure to follow the claims that some heroes have had larger and more prominent parks named for them than other just as deserving. This 1 have seen happen elsewhere, With few exceptions, our parks have names easily pronounced and in Kkeeping with their localities. Stanley, park and Willow Brook park, for ex« ample, are easily recognized and lo« cated by any persons at all acquaint« ed with the history and geegraphy |of New Britain. Let the naming of | parks be left to the park board. Then the fear of losing vates will not enter of excite-! they figured 1 had eaten enough.
