Second Section by 9, 19208 Automobile Drivers Affected By About 40 Changes New Regulations, Which Became Effective July 1, | Cover Wide Range of | Revisions. \ Every automobilé owner, operator and firm connected with the motor | industry in Connecticut will be di- rectly or indirectly affected by ap- proximately forty changes in th: motor vehicle iaws which becamu effective July 1. Several statute al- terations are of a minor nature, but the majority are of major import- ance and immediate interest to| many persons. | The new laws or changes, accord- | ing to a digest prepared by the mo- | tor vehicle department, range from | methods of license application, af- | focting individuals .to measures of | regulation demanding state-wide ad- ministration. | A state traffic control system, | which aims at uniform regulation | for every town, is among the major | cnactments. Automobile junk yards | are now | under state and town regu- | lations. Taxicabs are included among | the vehicles required to be licenscd | as public service vehicles by the public utiiities commission.
