SCOIT GNP ‘READY FOR GUESTS Goupselors for Summer Recres: ion Spot Announced Today Plans are practically completed for the opening, July 6, of the New Britain Girl Scouts camp, Camp £prague, at Job's pond, near Port-| land, Camp Sprague is 16 miles from New Britain on the East Hampton | road between Portland and Cobalt, | about two miles from Portland. The lake provides safe swimming and boating which will be in charge of | Red Cross life savers. Tents with wooden floors andi army cots will be used for sleeping | quarters. There is a recreation hall | IRENE HAIGIS with an open fireplace in addition to the dining pavilion and kitchen. The camp accommodates 50 Girl Scouts. During the first two weeks the program will be especially adapted 1o the younger Girl Scouts. The greatest emphasis will be placed upon out-of-door activities including natyre trailing, swimming, rowing, singing, handicratts and.other fea- tures of the Girl Scout program. For older Girl Scouts remaining in camp four to 8ix weeks, a pro- gressivé program emphasizing the pioneer activities of camp craft will be offered. Visitors will be welcome on Sun- day between 3 p. m. and 5 p. m. and are asked to come only at this time, and to cooperate with the camp policy. The daily schedule will be—7:00/ a. m., reveille; a. m., to the colors; 8:00 a. m.. breakfast; 9:30 a. m. inspection of tents and| grounds; 10 a. m..
