The liner is 631 feet long and 79 feet wide. The Vulcania sails tomorrow but her owners wanted her rceraped and painted and given a general inspec- tion first. This work is generally done at the Todd shipyards but those yards were full today and so ar- rangements were made to go to the navy yard. The Vulcania’s fore and aft masts were found to be 16 feet too high so 21 foot sections were taken off.
