While Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Cohen were at dinner in their tene- ment in the rear of their store at 162 Greenwood street yesterday aft- ernoon, Mrs. Cohen heard a noise and told her husband to go to the store, as thelr four year old son w playing there. Going through t door, Cohen was choked by smoke en | and within a few minutes a lively blaze was spreading rapidly. Whether the child was playing with matches is not known, but it is believed that ne was, for there was no other theory on which to fix the cause of the fire.
