RICELAWYERS MAKE DEAND FOR NOTES King and Harvey Want Letters Jackson's Wile Lelt Willimantic, March 7 (A—De- mand was made today by Attorneys Willium A. King and Richard B Harvey, counsel for Trenor A. Rice, now awaiting trial at Brooklyn jail on a grand jury indictment for the murder of Detective William E. Jackson. for the possession of the notes alleged to have been left, when Mrs. Gertrude T. Jackson com- mitted suicide. The notes are alleged to revea! the fact that Mrs. Jackson confessed to the killing of her husband on January 29, and to exonerate Rice. The notes, according to Coroner Arthur G. Bill of Danielson, were addressed to Attorney William A. King and to Trenor Rice. The demand made today was ad- dressed to Coroner Bill, who ex- pressed his willingness to turn over to the defense attorneys the notes, but declared he could not do un- til given permission by State's At- torney Howard C. Bradford. Ac cording to Coroner Bill, he has been advised by Bradford not to discolse the contents of the notes, nor to give them to any person.
