M. Gr their health officer, and the town r known as one of the most healt towns in New England. Dr. _‘] wold stated that following the won- derful year cxperienced last year in Berlin along health lines he is well l pleased to sce that the town has re- ere- mained on the same high health basis so far this year. During the early months of the year most of the cities and town in the state were suffering from un o epidemic of grippe and hard, colds that ran into the hundreds while Berlin escaped with but a few se- vere cases and a small percentagc of milder ones. In speaking of the health condi- tlons that exist in Berlin Dr. Gris- wold refers back to his report at| the annual town meeting in which he stated that although Berlin lack- ed many of the ccnveniences and apparent necessities for best sani- tary living the fact remains that Berlin s one of the most healthful f towns in New England because the population is not congested, there are few or no overcrowded tene- ments and the water supply is un- usually good, the pipe water being of the best quality. Berlin Grange Meeting There will be an important meet- Ing of the Berlin Grange this eve- ning at its hall on Farmington ave- nue. State Department At Work That the statd highway depart- ment intends to keep the new park at Boston Corners in good condition can be readily seen from the fact that men from the department were at the park this morning for the second time within a month im- proving the land.
