Bristol in this frame showed its best tcam work of the en- tire contest, In the second period, however, the New Britain team hit its stride and five consecutive goals resulted. On the defense, the Bristol forwards found the combination of Brown, Muirhead and Blount altogether too much for them and they went score- less. Alexander and Boucher di- vided honors in this session, Boucher geting three and Alexander two. Brown's play in the game was of exceptional order. He broke tip pass after pass and messed up Bristol's attempts to get into scoring posi- tion. He drove accurately and his bank-passing was one of the features of the game. Muirhead before the cage was on the alert all the time and his numerous stops caused Blount to have a total of only 41 for the game. The third period saw Bristol get an edge on New Britaln in the num- ber of goals scored. Duggan, Hardy and Pierce all three poked in scores in this frame but Bristol's best ef- forts failed to make New Britain ex- tend itself, Duggan easily starred for Bristol with Thompson a close second in the race for playing honors.
