MISS ELVA MCKIRDY Miss McKirdy is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McKirdy of Lincoln street. She is a member of the executive committee arranging for the Normal School Glee club concert. Social Activities About Town New Britain's in-between-season which lasted but a short time. has passed, and the spring bride with the many entertainments given in her honor are objects of the day to which members of the social world are devoting much of their time. From now until late June weddings are scheduled for nearly every week. Bridge parties, tea parties and showers for the bride to be will be great attractions. Out of door affairs, too, are coming into their own. With the season now en, most of the country and shore places are open and are the scenes of much entertaining. Week-end house parties are numerous and informal dinners and dances, golf, tennis and fishing offer interesting diversion. Spring was welcomed with many May breakfasts which were very well patronized. This year more than ever, this old custom seemed to receive support, especially in organizations, many of which @nished their activities for the season by giving such breakfasts and holding their annual meeting of the year at the same time. . s e There will be two semi-public musical events next week that will be of great interest to society, the annual State Normal School Glee club concert in the school auditorium comes ' ing Mr. ana 3r Monday night the New Britain Musical | o Lincein street. on Thursday, May 12. club, president, Mrs. Emilie Andzulatis, offers a concert of compositions by local composers to take place at the Camp! school auditorium. and Theron Hart will feature prominently in this entertainment. !
