e L Sid ok : MRS. WILLIAM H. BOOTH Mrs. Booth is to be one of the patronesses at the Yale “Prom” in New Haven next week. There is evidence of the waning fashionable season which has kept society on:the go since the early days of October. This is particularly noticeable aside from the falling off in dinner parties, by the infrequent dance gatherings. There have been no really important dances since early January, with the exception of the subscription dances which have occurred at the Shuttle Meadow club on alternate Friday nights. Entertaining these days features the impromptu card game, the theater party and the small home tea. It is likely that this manner of sociability will follow through the Lenten season, which begins on March 6th, probably, because so many people are away from town and also because those who are at home welcome the restful respite the Lenten season affords. There will be two semi-public events during next month that will be of great interest to society and to the musical world—the Rose Byrant concert on Tuesday night, February 8th at the First church and the Wesleyan Glee club concert on Saturday night, February 19th at the Camp school auditorium. The glee club concert is being sponsored by the New Britain College club in aid of its Scholarship fund which each year through the generosity of the New Britain public makes a splendid showing in its field. * PERSONALS ek-end Visitors In and * * Harold Guy.
