NEW BRITAIN DAILY HERALD, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 1925, - SOCIAL SEASON NOW IN FULL SWING, MANY BAZAARS AND PARTIES e | day, Photo by M MRS, ELWOOD JOHNSON The former Miss Marjorie Crowell, ddug] and Mrs: William Crowell of Lenox place, is destined to be one of the popular members of New Britain's younger married | set | Social Activities About Town Thanksgiving week with its almost ceaseless suce sion of entertainments has been but a forerunner of one of the busiest seasons on record for the fashionable world. It almost seems impossible to arrange a time and place for cach and every party, but nowadays there are s al on cach night and people take the opportunity to “‘go on.” I'his fashion now is possible with the giving up of the pro- aram and cotillion dances, a form that requived the staving on of gnests. Modern dancing has taken the place of that form of Terpsichorean diversion which predominated in the days when society’s circles were small, but there is less of disappointment now for some of the girls than in former days, when certain of them seemed always to be ed out for cotillion favors P . The Monday Night Dancing class annual party be with ns once again, to be bigger and better than ever before, like the pervennial circus. very soft spot in the liearts of most New Britainites, for this party has been an annual feature of the city's social life for several years. As usual, it is to be held at the Shuttle Meadow club, where the dancing class gatherings always occur. No one group or set will predominate, since each member of the class may include two, but not more than four, outside guests in their party. “A Night in Vienna” is the intriguing name for the atlair, whien is for the most part to he kept secret. Arthur Kimball, it seems, is to be master of ceremonies, which spells success at the outset. o GATHERINGS . S )CIAI and xington s Mre. Fred W.
