| DANCES, MUS.CALES AND OTHER AFFAIRS New Britain’s musical sea- son in society of 1925-26 will be opened tomorrow afternoon, when, under the auspices of the New Britain Musical club, Giovanni Martinelli will give the season its inaugural con- eert, The list of box lessees changes but little from year to vear, for it is made up for the most part by the associate members of the club. This sea- son we find the names include Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Stanley, Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Kimball, Mr. and Mrs., William C. Interest today centers in the Yale-Army game in New Haven, when the Blue and the (ray enter into what promises to be one of the most spectacu- lar sporting events of the foot- ball season. It goes without saying that society will turn out in ,full force, the limited number of seats being the only bar to New Britain appearing en masse at the Bowl on this memorable occasion. Of course, there will be any number of ances tonight to celebrate the event, one of the largest in town being the dinner dance at the Shuttle Meadow club, where the gay throng of diners and dancers will number more han 225, Almost all the club nembers are planning to be resent and, of course, a great nany of them will entertain guests at dinner preceding the dancing. A large number of the school and college set al- ways come home for the game and they will, of course, come to dance. So, there you are! of the school set, the large group of younger married folk and the representative gather- ing of the older folk that are sure to be there already as- sures the success of the dance. Louis Young is chairman of the committee of arrange- ments, the other members be- ing Mrs; Hartwell Taylor, Mrs. Carl Messenger, Mrs. William Rowland and William T. Coho- lan, . Aside from these gayetie one hears a great deal about “Neighbors,” the one-act play which / members of the dra- matic ‘department of the Wo- man's club will put on under the management of Mrs. George Flanagan. The cast includes. Mrs. Emory Corbir Kenneth Searle, Mrs nstone Vance, Mis. -Fred- ick Porter, Mrs. Raymond Gilpatrie, Mrs. Buel B. Bas- sotte, Mrs. Arthur Bacon and Mrs. William Wells.
