SOUTHINGION NEWS A large group of friends of Mr. and Mrs. Willlam McGee of Main street, surprised the couple at their home Batur.ay night, the occasion seing the observance of their 20th Idescent china dishes. Guests were presented with a beautiful set of ir- ridescent china dishes. Guests were present from Bristol, Cheshire and Southington. Dancing was enjoyed and refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. McGee are among the best known residents of this town. They were married 20 years ago last Sunday and have resided in this town practically all of their married life. Constables Thomas Murphy, T. J. Foley, G. R. Thompson and L. W. Bowers, acting on a complaint from ' two young men from Forestville that they had lgst a gold watch at the store and dwelling of Mary and Frank Ryzpewski at the corner of Liberty and Center streets, ralded the place Bunday night and arrested the couple on the charge of selling intoxicating liquor. Each was fined $20 and costs in the town court before Judge J. Lam bert Degnan yesterday and were sentenced to serve six months in jail. Both took an appeal and they were allowed liberty under bonds of $500 each. Leon Gandreau, charged with reckless driving, had his case nolled upon payment of costa Sunday morning, Rt. Rev. Edward C. Acheson, suffragan bishop of Con- necticut, will ordain Rev. Benjamin B. Styring to the Episcopal church priesthood at St. Paul's church, Plantsville, Mr. Styring has been minister at the church for the past two years and he was baptized and confirmed in the church in which he is now serving.
