The central figure in the serial is May Seymour. Readers of “The Flapper Wife”” will remember her; those who missed ~that story should hecome acquainted in the new one. May's doctor-hushand ended his life about the time Gloria Gregory (“The Flapper Wife””) decided that Dick, with his pipe and hook in an easy chair, was better company than the passing fancies of an auto ride in the country with a man who turned vellow when danger threatened. May has been traveling. She has returned to sell her home and turn all her stocks and bonds into cash. She in- tends to go forth into the world seeking the happiness she previously flaunted. Of course, Gloria is in the story; as well as Dick Gregory, Junior, who brings joy to Glory and pangs of regret toe May.
