Tinal figures on the Community Chest eampaign of 1925 give an en- couraging viewpoint = and fndlcate that & much larger number of “peo- ple are becaming interested in the sustaining of the five organjzations that are supported by the Commun- ity Chest—Bristol hospital, Visfting Nurse association, Bristol Chapter American Red Cross, Boys' club, Bristol Boy Scouta. In the 1924 campaign there were 1482 persons who were listed as con- tributors. In the campalgn recently effort, there were 3449 contributors. Further fig- ures indicate that in 1924 there were 392 persons who contributed $10 o1 more. This list of the larger con tributors to the yearly fund reachec a total ot 515 for the 1925 cam paign. In 1924 it was necessary te for a quota of. $40,000, this hav. been an incrcase of $5,000 over the year previous, and made neces- sary hy the increased activities prin- cipally of the hospital and Visiting Nurse association with slight in. creases for the Boys' club and Boy Scouts. That goal was met and a total of $40,150.55 was pledged. The campaign this year called for a quotz of $47.000, the Increase being neces sary by the added expenses that wil the large new hospital building in August, This quota was met and slightly overaubscribed, the final fig- ures being $47,085.97. The officials of the Bristol Com- munity Chest feel gratified at the appeal for 1925, They have extended the thanks of the organization to Campaign Director Dudley S.
