ARGEST BUILDING SOON IN CHICAGD Ex-Governor Lowden and Back- ¢rs Plan Temple to Agriculture —_— Chicago, Dee. 16.—A world's tem- ple to agriculture, the largest build- ing In the world, Including a radlo- casting tower rivaling the Eiffel tower in Paris, a convention hall of 20,000 seats, and a commercial hotel of 3,500 rooms, the whole to cost $30,000,000, is planned by a midwest group headed by Frank 0. Lowden, former governor of Hlinols. The structure to be erected here would be known as the American Agricultural Soclety building. According to announced plans, the building would be the national conter of farm activitjes in Amer- fea, guch as was urged in recent resolutions adopted by delegates to the American farm bureau federa- | tion convention. Assoclated ‘with Towden are Willlam Wrigley, Jr., Robert M. Stewart, Lawrence Whit- ing and others. Financing of the profect is as- sured, according to Whiting, whose company financed the Amr‘rlra_n Turniture Hart bullding recentiy completed here, The bufiding would front on Michigan boulevard at the juncture with the Chicago river, with docks for passenger and freight boats and warchouse’ facilities, and would in- clude a suburban train station. Efforts will be made to'have the structure completed by May 1, 1927, according to Whiting. ATRPLANE HOOKS ONTO DIRIGIBLE, THEN GOES Double Feat Accomplished for First Time in History of Avia- tion at Scott Field - The Assoclated Press. “Belleville, T, Dec: 16.—The Jouble feat of an airplane hooking itselt on to an airship while both were in full fiight and then free- ing itself to sail away again, was| accomplished for the first timie ot Seott field, near hero late yesterday. The ship used was the army Airigible TC-3, and the plane was a Sperry Messenger, a small type. A metal hook attached to the frame over the motor of the plane was used to catch on to a small trapeze, swinging from cables slung under the bombing ralls of the ship. The feat was accomplished at an eleva- tion of 1,500 feet. Lieutenant Frank McKee, lighter- than-alr pilot, had charge of Tc-3 and Lieutenant Fenner McCook fleld, Dayton, piloted Sperry.
