Dr. T. E. Reeks, super- intendent of the New Britain Gen- eral hospital, and Miss Maude E. Traver, superintendent of the hos- pital training school, spoke at the meeting, Which began at 3 o'clock. Mrs. W. E. Attwood, the secretary, and Mrs. George Rapelye, treasurer, presented thelr annual reports. Mrs, Frank Traut reported on the work of the membeship committee dur< ing the past year. Risteen of Beverly, and George W. Plummer, Jr., a lodger at her home, were arraigned in district court here today on charges of Inconnection with the death of the woman's hus- band, Fred K. Risteen, whose body was found in Norwood Pond, North Beverly, October 4. The date of Risteen's death has been placed at September 21. In voices hardly audible in the court room both entered pleas of not | Mrs. Risteen collapsed as | she uttered the words “not guilty' | and was assisted by a police officer.
