The case was heard several weeks ago and was featured by clashes between former Mayor Joseph M. Halloran and Lawyer Cohen of New York of the defense counsel. In the decision the court finds that tl rent due November 1 last year, on which time was given until the 15th was not paid until November 30. Tihe receipt stated that the payment was not received as rent under the case, but only for use and occupancy of leased premises, but should in no way effect the forfeiture as claimed.
