ANTI-VACCINATION MEETING ARRANGED Rev. F. L. Brooks to Speak at Galhering Friday Evening There will be a meeting of the or- ganization formed for the purpose of protesting against compulsory vacci- ation in Booth's block Friday night 8 o'clock.'R. J, Kloiber of 265 Cherry street, one of the strongest supporters of the organization, stated today that Rev. I L. People’s church will be the principal specaker: and efforts will be made to have others address the meeting. The organization which has come to be known as the Anti-Vaccination feague will shortly start publication of & magazine each month and copies will be given out free of charge and will contain articles in support of the claims of the organization. Mr. Kloiber stated that the oraniza- tion is not ‘really anti-vaccination, but rather more against the compulsory law of vaccination. cination could be classed as an opera- tion and as operationd cannot be per- formed on people without their con- sent, so vaccination should be optional. He also said that there was nothing to show that vaccination was a sure preventive of smallpox and that statis- ties showed states where the law of | vaccination was compulsory strictly enforced, had a larger per- centage of cases of smallpox than others. Massachusetts, he said, which has a very strict vaccination law, has had more cases of smallpox than any and Brooks of the | He said that vac- | NEW BRITATN DAILY HERALD, City Items SHIPPING CLATMS FURTHER PROBED One for More Than Million by Atlantic Corp.
