In 1915 he rk of the old hoard of public safety, which had jurisdiction of the police and fire de- partments, Mr. Cashmore was a the probate convention in this district and at one time was prominent in u movement to nominate a republican to replace Judge B. I Gaffney. The movement stirred up a political con- troversy for a time but did not prove a success, because of the general sut isfaction in both parties with the record of Judge Gaffney. Mr. Cashmore was onc of the or- ganizers of Everyman's Bible ¢ and until the last term was prominent in official circles in the Blue army. He is survived by a widow, one son, Charles H., of F aic, | daughter, Mrs. Franklin E.
