PORTER SONS THE RUGS AND CARPETS The Rugs and Carpets thru-out the entire hotel were furnished thru B. C. Porter Sons. They are Lowell Axminsters and Hartford Saxonys made by the Bigelow-Hartford- Carpet Co. These were selected for their known quality and durability. The designs being woven especially for The Burritt. The Carpets are laid over 22,500 square feet of lining. This is a 4-inch Felted Hair Rug Cushion called “Ozite” and gives the Carpets and Rugs that soft, noiseless, luxurious feeling and adds greatly to the life of the Carpet. Itis just as desirable in your home and can be supplied by B. C. Porter Sons. THE CHAIRS The Chairs thru-out the hotel, including the Dining | Chairs, Assembly Room Chairs and Coffee Room Chairs, are Colonial Windsors. These popular chairs were made by several different fine chair manufacturers in Gardner, Mass. Windsor Chairs are made in many varying styles but all have the same basic design. B. C. Porter Sons always have a large display of these Wind- sor Chairs which are adaptable for use in the living ! room, dining room, bedroom or hall in your own home. The Upholstered ' 7 Chairs and Daven- R ports in the Lobby, Mezzanine, Lounge and Stair Foyer were carefully selected for use and appearance. They are carefully 'onstructed with the best webbing, moss and hair filling, and all loose cushions are reversible. There are in twenty-four of the larger bedrooms some very comfortable small Upholstered Arm Chairs covered with blue denim. B. C. Porter Sons are noted for the fine Upholstered work they sell. THE OF ST e are of the same high grade as regularly supplied by B. C. Porter Sons to the local factory and business offices. The Office Equipment and also the Linoleum in the offices of Judd & Co., and Eddy Brothers Co., is also from B. C. Porter Sons. Linoleum, if laid by Porter’s experts, gives lasting satisfaction in offices and homes, Besides furnishing many of the THE BEDROOM FURNITURE The Dressers, Combination Chif- foniers, Wood Beds, Telephone Stands, Desks and Benches are of Colonial design and were all fur- nished by B. C. Porter Sons. They" are thoroughly well made by the Sligh Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids. | These pieces are finished in a rich | 18th century dark brown mahogany. B. C. Porter Sons always carry a large stock of this fine Grand Rapids Furniture on display at their store. There are also one hundred and nineteen Greenpoint Metal Beds. These are of Colonial Windsor type and finished to match the rest of the Bedroom Furniture, THE BEDDING The Box Springs, Mattresses, and Pillows furnished by B. C. Porter Sons were made by the O. D. Baker Co. These Box Springs are made of the best tempered steel springs, tied with [talian hemp twine and set on well constructed basswood frames. The Mat- | tresses are made of Pure South American Horse Hair and the Pillows are filled f with choice Live Geese Feathers. 'THE MISCELLANEOUS FURNITURE The small pieces around the hotel such as the Ferneries, Console Tables and Mirrors, and End Tables, | are those things that add so much of the home-like atmosphere to The Burritt. B. C. Porter Sons also fur- nished the Fireplace Fixtures in the Lobby. ‘ The Furniture in the New Britain Club rooms was | transferred from the Club’s former quarters. This was | originally furnished by B. C. Porter Sons a number of years ago and testifies to the high grade workmanship and lasting qualities of their Furniture.
