The “barong” is & shirt-like gar- ment, with a narrow neck-band and takes the place of hoth shirt and coat. Worn outside the belt of the trousers, it givés Americans the impression that the wegrer had dressed hastily and neglected to tuck his shirt into his trousers. Representative Villaneuva's resolu- tlon, recommending a boycott of foreign apparel, affécts women's dress as well as bans all evening gowns made of imported materials.
