HIBERNIANS PLAN FIGHT 10 FINISH WITH KLUXERS Montreal Convention Is Expected to ¥ Adopt Such a Resolution Today. Montreal, July 19.—The Anclent Order of Hibernlans in conventlon here was expected to act today on a resolution pledging to an . active “finish fight" with the Ku Klux Klan, denounced in an address yes- terday by Judge Patrick O'Donnell of Chicago, founder of the anti-klan American Unity league. “Some of the most prominent men in the states of Illinois and Indiana who jolned the klan have been se- verely injured if not ruined, through the publication of their names in our officlal organ, ‘‘Tolerance,” said the alone we have already published 22, 000 names and we have as many more we have not published. “We are attacking the klan be- .cause we clalm they are a treasonable body to the United States on four indictments. The American constitu- tion provides for severance of church and state, but they try to fill the sen- ate with klux who will legislate against Catholic, Jew, negro and the foreign born. They undertake to de- stroy denominational schools and force attendance upon other than Catholic churches, thereby destroy- ing freedom of conscience.” ANOTHER PAPER GONE, Minneapolis, July 19.—The national non-partisan league lost another pub- lication yesterday when 1t announced in the current issue of the National Leader, official organ of the league, that the paper had been forced to suspend on account of financial dif- ficulties.
