DOYLE NOMINATED FOR SCHOOL BOARD Long Deleated in Only Contest at Democratic Convention Willlam . Long, for the past few months a member of the school com- mittee, filling out the unexpired term ol Dr, John . Martin, resigned, was defeated for the nomination last night hy John 1. Doyle of the fifth ward at A democratic city convention, held in the Bronson hotel building. Doyle, with the entire fifth ward delegation Instructed in his Interests, won easily, wecuring 28 votes as against Long's seven, Halloran Succeeds Roche The Doyle-Long contest was the oniy one of the evening. Ex-Mayor Joseph M. Halloran and School Com- mitteeman Patrick F. King were again named for the school board without opposition, the former to suc- ceed Attorney Henry P.
