DBurnett is alleged to have been implicated in the killing ot Danlels and Richards. The disappearance of Teegerstrom overshadowed other phases of the in- vestigation which is expected to reach a climax with the opening Friday of an open hearing to be conducted by Attorney Gen. Coco. Preparations were golng forward for the inquiry and the possible spe- clal grand jury session to follow in its wake, but no definite announcé- ment as to the plans have been made. What additional arrests will be made and when is a secret. It is un- derstood however that a score or more, | § indictments will be sought and in all likelthood a special court term for immediate trial will be asked. Halifax, N. 8, Jan. 2.—With one girl passenger suffering a broken leg and several members of the crew cut and otherwise injured, the Furness ilner Digby has reached here from Liverpool. The boat showed the ef- fects of what Captain F. W. Cham- bers sald was the worst storm he had seen in 30 years at sea. Hatches on the forward holds of the Digby were washed away with everything movable about deck, and much damage was done to the cargo by seas which poured into the vessel in mountainous floods.
