The fish removed yesterday were sent to Hamlin’s pond near White's Cross- ing in Plainville, The men will be ,actively engaged in removing fish from Shuttle Meadow until the cold weather sets in, Mr. Cone said, and although thousands of fish will be se- cured this number will not make an impression on the vast schools of fish in the lake. Mrs. Cone said that inasmuch as the fish are being removed from Shuttle Meadow lake which is the prope#ty of the city of New Britain he feels that other New Britain ponds or lakes in the vicinity of New Britain should re. celve the benefit of the fish. He said that he would like te see the Peat ‘Work pond between Berlin and Meri- den stocked as he believed this to be one of the best ponds for fishing in the immediate vicinity. He also referred to Hart's ponds in Kensington but as this pond is open to members of the Mattabessett club only If Grown Pecple who are rundown in vitality and out of sorts, would but realize the strength-restoring power of rich, nourishing Scoti's Emulsion they would not dream of doing without its health-building bene- fits. THURS, FRL, PUPPETS PRESENT COMPLEX SITUATION Marfopettes Dring Up Interesting Problems In [lusions—Miniature Actors Produce Smaller Stage, There was a stage upon a stage | and on that stage was another stage, So might read a description of To Sarg's marfonettes, produced yester. day afternoon and again last evening in the Central Junior High sghool under thé auspices of the Business and Professlonal Women's club, An interesting problem 1in com- parative relations and optical {llu- slons which amused many in the an. dience was somewhat inecldental to the whole affair, The performance glven by the wooden dolls, operated by wires, fronmi overhead bridges by corps of helpers, was the story of Don Quixote, the adventurer who | fought windmills, ete, imagining them to be enchanted dragons or glants, The puppets ware approximately a foot high. But because they were shown on a miniature stage, mount- ed on the regular stage, their pro- | portionate 'size in relation to the smaller stag furniture, artificial | horses, donkey, sheep, ete, made them appear to be about two-thirds the size of human beings, Particu- larly was this emphasized when the puppets themselves gave a puppet show, on a still smaller stage, in| which the figures could not have been any larger than a few inches. When Mr. Sarg stepped to the front. of the larger of the two miniature stages, and stooped so the audience could see him at the close | of the performance, he created the illusion of being a man about 20 feet tall, BRITAIN SENDING VIEWS ON TURKEY French Premier Will Soon Receive Note Relative to Near East Stand.
