N B Machine ... iNIIPs-Be-Pond com {North & Judd Manufacturing Interests Stamford, April 8.—Walton Fergu- son, widely known in financial circles in the east died at his home on Straw- berry Hill avenue last night in his 80th year, After his graduation from Trinity college he became assoclated with his father in banking in New York city, the firm being J. and .8, Ierguson. Some years later he went to Pitts- burgh and was associated with Henry C. Irick in the coke businhess. Organized Brooklyn Edison He was one of the organizers of the Brooklyn Edison Co., a founder of the Kings County Electric Co. which later was taken over by the Brooklyn Edi- son Co. and was active in the form- ing of of the Union Carbide Co. He had also been a director of the Peo- ple’s Gas Co. of Chicago, the Vir- ginia Iron, Coal and Coke Co., the Virginia Southwestern Railroad and the Detroit and Mackinaw Railroad. On Many Boards At the time of death he was pres- ident of the Stamford Trust Co., chairman of the board of directors of the Stamford Gas and Electric. Co. and president of the Iirst National bank. President of the Ferguson li- brary which was named after his hrother the late J. D. Ferguson, whose will provided the money for the li- brary, and a member of the Union League in New York and the St Nicholas society. Mr. Ferg! n is survived by This wife, who Miss Julia I. White, daughter of John Trumbull White of New York and five children one of whom is Alfred L. Ierguson, treasur- er of the Windsor Print Works, and vice-president of the Consolidated Textile Corp. A brother, Henry, was a former dean of Trinity college. The funeral will be held on Monday. We must have a change in the City Administration. In the past 8 years sed 240 per cent.
