12 LOGALS OUTCLASSED BY HARTFORD K. . Capital City Knights Smother| Mangan's Pets, 41 to 18 The New Britain Kaceys got it put on good and plenty Saturday night,| when the Hartford Kaceys romped | off with a 41 to 18 victory tors won because they displaye a8 classy a brand of baskethall as has been seen on the local court this sea son. The visitors showed team worl, ability to locate the basket, a won derful defensive, such as had not been excelled by any quintet here this | vear., This was mainly the reason that the locals lost, and for no other. While the New I team had a| hard game on Friday night, wnich| may have slowed them up some, still| the work of Tim Cronin, et al, shonld | not be overlooked as heing splendid, such as entitled the team to a victory Big Crowd Sce Rout There was a big crowd on hand to witness the fray. The locals were given a hand when they ran out on fhe court for practice. Hartford was represented by a delegation of root- ers also. Billy Dwyer was with the Capitol City team, thercby giving 1t the full playing strength. Without Dwyer, the Hartford team does not look formidable. “Timmy" Cronin, who can be depended on to turn in a good night's work whenever he starts on a local court, lived up to ex- pectations on Saturday night. Tim had nine free shots from the foul line, resulting in nine points, as he did not miss a single try. Joe Guerra, reg- istered some field goals that were “pipps.” “Smiler” Flynn was delegat- ed to watch Tommy Reynolds, and he did an excellent job. Tommy got but two field goals which is a small night's work for him. Both of these came in the second half. Dwyer shot a pair of fleld goals and I.eonard, Getersloh and Flynn also found the net for scores. Leonard was sent from the game in the second half for four personal fouls. The last one was when he hit against Kilduff, knock- ing that player to the floor. To some it looked as though it was uninten- tional. The visitors held the locals to one fleld goal and three fouls in the first half, while the team from the Capitol City rang up seven field goals and five fouls. Restelli Scores 11 Poings For New Britain, Restelli*was the chief point maker, getting 11 tallies, with three field goals and five fouls. He relieved Johnny Sheehan from tossing fouls, after “‘Snowshoes” dem- onstrated that he was having an off night. The locals scored but six field goals in the entire game.
