TRADE SCHOOL FIVE WINS ANOTHER GAME S0, Manchester Team The New Britain State Trade school basketball team walked away from the South Manchester Trade school quintet with a score of 36 to 12 in a league game last evening at the local High school gymnasium. The local boys gave a fine exhibition and took the offensive from the beginning. A stonewall defense and a fast passing game featured the playing of the “black and orange.” ! Kamenicky in right guard and Wit- ham in left guard aided by Patrus, the Jocal players' fast left forward, proved a combination next to impos- sible to get through. Nearly every play of the visitors was met and broken by this defense combination, Only four times did the visitors break through for a tally. H. Anderson at “heady” game using his plays to good advantage. Captain Swanson did some fast work and good shooting making a total of 22 points out of the 36 for For the visitors l.arson and Hills did some hard work and were ably assisted by Ritchie in the left guard place, The clever, fast pass work of Pat- rus was a large factor in the victory for the local boys. The victory leaves New Britain un- disputed leader in the northern sec- tion having won every league game to date thus establishing her right to meet the winners of the southern sec- tion. In the preliminary game the Trade Alumni, defeated the Trade Instruc- tors, 11 to 8. Sikord for the Alumni and Hargrove for the instructors played well. Summary: N B.A TS, . M. T. 8.
