State footba]l star, has signed a contract to coach the 1922 football team at Dick- inson college here. Announcement that Killinger had closed negotiations 'with the local coilege was made today by Dr. C. Willlam Prettyman of the College Athletic Association. Although Killinger was head coach of the Dickinson team several weeks ago, following the resignation of Professor I, ¢, Craver, the contract was not signed hecause he was still enrolled at Penn State The consideration named for his services is $2,600 for the season. Y., Feb, 10--John Otis, boiler manufacturer and promi- nent business man of Oswego, whose conviction with two policemen of the Oswego force for the theft of whis- key valued at $2,6560 was upheld by |the appellate division, obtained yes- terday a certificate of r onable doubt from Judge John W. Hogan of the court of appeals. Judge Hogan granted the certificate on the ground that under the Vol- stead act whiskey has no value, and therefore a man cannot be convicted of theft for taking it.
