W, C. A, last eve- ninz. 1t at the rate of one dollar a year, Instead of meeting in the evening ate afternoons henceforth the con- nee will meet on the first Wed- nesday of every month for supper at the Y. W, C, A, Supper will be served at 5:30 and the meeting called at 6:15, Miss Jennle Sbaver, the new hy- mienist of the dental clinie, spoke at some length last evening telling of the work being done by the clinic in the Clarinda C. Some people are very easily amused and have a very keen sense of hiimor at someone else's ex- pense, 1 dare say. . The letter did not amuse me how- ever, my heart goes out in deep sym- pathy to those poor women, two dol- lars is not much but if you haven't got it or.don't know where to get it, it is an entirely different matter. 1 am sure a great many-of those women voted and did not really understand why they were voting, while others dre supremely happy to think they have finally reached the same level as the men.
