The report of Superintendent Marshall R. Cook was submitted as follows: Work carried on at the Boys' club during the past twelve months, Jan- uary 1, 1921, to January 1, 1922: Membership registered, 1264; Ju- nior, 975; Senior, 289. Attendance: January, 2463; Febru- ary, 2391; March, 2396; April, 2364; May, 2299; June, 2168; July, 2097; September, 2168; October, 3984; No- vember, 3217; December, 4890. Total, 29,431, Visitors. (mostly boys): January, 36; February, 29; March, 42; April, 16; May, 27; June, 9; July, 12; August, closed; "September, 24; October, 37; November, 43; December, 51. Total, 340. < Average monthly attendance 2674. Boys’ club activities: Boys' club newspaper three nights a week, car- pentry club one night a week, music (band) two nights a week, orchestra two nights a week, shoe shining con- tests six nights a week, three baseball teams three days each week during the Summer, physical training three nights a week, slx basketball teams three nights a week. Moving plctures once a week, en- tertdlnments such as plays, minstrels, Christmas, - etc.; two nights a‘’weék, toy-making three nights a week, tin-work two nights a week, clay-molding two nights a week, clipping and pastel one night a week. Activities during summer months in addition to regular work in the club proper. During June; July and August the club conducted hikes in the woods, kept threc baseball teams going and gave shower baths to all boys.ftom the Old Burritt school playground. The boys cleaned and painted the entire building with no cost to the club ex- oept for the paint, etc. Many jobe were done for outside organizations. The Day Nursery was cleaned and painted by the boys and a new fence and sand box bullt for them, Work for the City Mission, Chamber of Commerce, Welfare Organization, Y. W. C. A, Visting Nurses, and others. The padt year at the Boys' club has been most encouraging to the man- agement, Basketball tecams have playcd 65 games and only lost seven. All teams have an average of 891. Junior and senior classes on the &ym floor are conducted three eve- nings each week by A. C. Brunnelle. These classes average 100 boys on the floor at one time.
