Lol = o SEMACSR ALLIED EXPERTS AT WORK ON BOUNDARY Polish-German Frontiers to Be " Mapped Out Today *“Paris, Aug. 11.—Experts directed by the supreme allied council to Ix the frontier between Poland and Germany in Upper Silesia resumed work early today with the expecta- tion that they would be able to pre- ‘sent a completed report to the coun- cil when it met late this afternoon. ‘The delegates to the meeting of the council were guests of President Millerand at a luncheon at the presi- dential mansion Chateau Rambouillet today. Besides deciding that the allies would entertain an attitude of strict neutrality in Asia Minor, where the Greeks and Turkish Nationalists are engaged in hostilities the council yesterday went on record as being opposed to interfering with the lib- erty of private firms in®deallng weth the belligerents. The council agreed that a eommlt- tee should be appointed to study the ‘best means of btinging about allied co-operation in sending relief to famine stricken districts of Russia, the committee to report before the present meeting is over. There ap- peared to be a general agreement that the forwarding of supplies to the suffering provinces of Russia need not necessarily involve recogni- tion in any form of the soviet gov- ernment the question being described y _Premier Lloyd George as a h not a political, mat ter ad dg wooy—-aspnd this nogx that ex- Walk-Over English Bulldogs are the thing this fall. Good, snappy style with the fineness of custom BY STANLEY GIT FER HOME perts had completed the work of drawing the Upper Silesian boundary line and that their report was ready for submission to the supreme coun- eil at the late afternoon session of that body. SOVIET CONFERENCE RESUMED TOMORROW Brown of America and Litvinoff of Fussia Make it Plain Talks Are Informal. Riga, Aug. 11 (By Associated Press).—Conferenices bet J(’ng.r L. Brown and Maxim inoff rela- tive to the relief fiieasures to be taken in Rusdia, will be resumed here-t6mérrow but both men have made it clear to each other that they are not appearing in behalf of their respective governments. Mr. Brown yesterday informed Litvinoff that he represented the American relief ad- ministration and not the United States government. M. Litvinoff pre- sented credentials as the‘representa- tive of the Russian famine commit- tee. Decision as to whether American relief supplies will be withheld from Ruyssia until all Americans in that country have been released and placed outside the borders of Bol- shevik Russia has been left to the state department in Washington. Mr. Brown said that sending the supplies to the Russian frontier would be easy, but their distribution heyond that point would present a difficult prob- lem.
