The Bundle Day was pronounced a success in this city Saturday, ana there were about 12 truck loads of clothing collected which had been left on the frcnt porch of persons comn- tributing. Much appreciation and thanks is extended the Boy Scouts for their untiring work during the day and the able manner in which they handled the situation. The trucks were loaned by the New Britain Lum- ber company, Stanleyv Works, A. A Mills and the Rackliffe Brothers com- pany. Thanks is also extended to the fire commissioners, the Eddy Awn- ing company for the loan of the tent at Central Park, the Stanley Quarter store, Haynes store at Maple Hill and the State Armory which locations were used as headquarters for leaving articles. The club, Attorney George W. Klett, Rev. Henry W. Maier, Rev. J. Leo Sullivan and Eugene J. Por- ter aided in making the drive success- ful. Scoutmaster Walter O. Cook han- dled the collections and took care of the entire campaign in an excellent manner. MISS STIRLING WINS.
