The coupons were traced to him by federal officials. He was interviewed yesterday and at first said the cou- pons had been given to him, but de- nied he had any of the bonds. Later he took the officials to his home and dug up the package which he had buried in his back yard. Officials sald $85,000 of the mail robbery loot had now been recovered. Gorek will get a hearing May 19. ROBBED, HURLED TO DEATH OVER FALLS Albion (N. Y.) Man Believed Have Been Killed at Niagara. Buffalo, May 13.—The Buffalo po- NHee department believes that Ralph Holcomb of Albion, N. Y., was at- tacked, robbed of several hundred dollars and then thrown into the rapids and carried to death over the falls on the American side at Niag- ara Falls Jast night. They base this belief on the finding of a man's hat and coat, the latter apparently new but with a long rip down the back, on the bank of the Niagara river.
