Linton, Mother of Youth Killed During World War. Preliminary steps have been taken for the return to the States of the body of James Russell Linton, one of the first locul soldie: to meet his death in ac- tion in France. Private Linton was killed April 10, 1918, He was the son of Mrs. James Linton of 213 Maple street. Private Linton enlisted in Company I, March 27, 1917, shortly after orders were issued to recruit to war-time strength. At the time he was 18 years of age. His death followed shortly after that of Private Heinzman, who was the first New Britain boy to be killed in action with the American forces. | Mrs. Linton, mother of the deceased | department that orders have been is- ! sued for the removal of the boy's body, preliminary to its transportation back to the States. He was unable to recall the names of any of his in- formants. He said he did not vote for the bill and the following year was given the same committee ap- pointment he held in 1919, with one other. New Haven, May 4.—A trip of the Yale swimming team to Honolulu has been ratified by the board of control of the athletic association. The team will leave July 1 for the middle west, thence to the Pacific coast, and sail- ing from San Francisco July 20. Swi ing now ranks next to the four major sports at Yale and the major “Y" has been given the five members of the relay team. The Yale men in their trip will meet the Chicago A.
