CIECIL DE MILLE PICTURE IS FEATUrL AT FOX’S SUN. Gloria Swanson, who had the leads ing feminine role opposite Elliott Dexter in ‘For Better, For Worse,” appears in a similar ecapacity in “Something to Think About,” the new Cecil De Milla Paramount pictura which opens a four days’' run at Fox's tomorrow evening. The idea of right thinking forms the basis of this story. In the early scenes the quaint, rural characteristics of Luke Anderson. the village blacksmith, and his daughter, Ruth, have a captivating humor. When this daughter, already engaged to marry a rich but crippled young man in the neighborhood, elopes with Jim Dirk, a newcomer, the clouds of tragedy gather quickly. Then a ser- ies of swift climaxes gather in rapid until will power brings with it the restoration of the hero- ine’s happiness through the instru- mentality of her little son. Although rags and tatters play their art in the picture in the action, Miss Swanson also wears gowns of excep- tional splendor. Several ultra new street gowns and eveninzg dresses of unusual beauty were designed espec- ially for this film. Thrills and a sober melodrama there is also aplenty. One tense scene is where the stern father blinds himself over his forge while in a fit of rage. Another is when Monte Blue as Dirk is caught in a tunnel and drowned. And there is the tenderest of love scenes where the misguided girl, having drunk the dregs of life and groveled on the bottom of life's basin, is reunited with the man she had wronged and for which act she had repented. An excellent companion picture and the usual news reet and comedy will also be shown tomorrow night. FOX’S THIS EVENING. Fox patrons will have a fina] op- portunity this evening of witnessing the sterling vaudeville bill. backed up by a stellar program of motlon pictures featuring William S. Hart in his latest release, “Tho Testing Block.” Of the vaudeville, the honors are evenly divided between the Musi- cal Parshays and Evelyn Bates. The Parshays are snare drummers par ex- cellence, and conclude their act with a fine series of musical selections on xylophones. Miss Bates not only sings and plays the plano with grace, but also has a violln which she can make do everything but talk. Her medl featuring “Kiss Me Again,” that ever favorite waltz bal- lad, is especially good. Donals Bruce is a Scotch comedian and *All Aboard” is a miniature musical com- edy. The Fox News, Mutt and Jeff and a Sunshine comedy are on the movie bill. Hart's picture deals with ' the reformation of a western bad man through the love of a good womamn.
