The score now stands 1,500 to 1,378 in the Belgian’s favor. BOWIE NOT SOLD. nd Jockey Club Official Denies Report of Purchase. Baltimore,, March 10.—Pinilico or Maryland Jockey club interests have made no effort to purchase the Bowie race track, as reported. If they have James F. O'Hara, general manager and chief stockholder in the southern Maryland course, knows nothing of it. It has been reported that Marylana Jockey club representatives have ap- proached the state racing commission to determine just how that body would feel about their purchase o: the Bowie track. This purchase, it is said, is part of a scheme to gain entire control of racing in Maryland by the Maryland Jockey club, which also, according to reports, has in mind the purchase of the Havre de Grace course. Pimlico intgrests already have gained a foothold in the opera- tion of Laurel. Mr. O'Hara stated last night that representatives from the Maryland Jockey club looked over the Bowie plant last year, but nothing was said about their desire to effect a pur- chase.
