New York, Feb. 19— tives of the Standard Oil company of New Jersey today confirmed reports that the company has reduced its operations in the Panucco fields in the Tampico oil district in northern Mexico. It is understood that the oil supply in that section has gradually dwindled to the point where further development of the concession is no longer profitable. Company officials denied reports that the reduction in the company's operations involved anything like $8,000,000. That figure was s2id to ho‘ 8ross exaggeration. SPANISH CLUB MEETS.
