Baltimore, Dec. 18.—The following announcement concerning the health of Cardinal Gibbons, signea by Bishop O. B. Corrigan, vicar-general of the ; diocese, appears today in the Balti- more Catholic Review: “The faithful of the arch-diocese are most anxious about the many re- ports concerning the health of our { beloved Cardidal. * “It is gratifying to announce that he is under the best of medical care at the home of Mr. Robert T. Shriver, Union Mills. His condition varies from hour to hour but those in at- tendance are hopeful of early recov- ery. “His devoted people are urged ‘to offer daily prayers for him.” The Cardinal was reported to have bad a very comfortable day yester- day after a restless night caused by sat up during the afternoon and eve- ning and listened with interest to the reading of newspapers.
