APPEAL FOR $33,000,000 —_—— Furopean Relief Council Sceks Funds in This Country New York, Dec. 9.—The European relief council recently organized by combination of eight American re- lief organizations today issued an ap- peal to the American people to con- tribute $33,000,000 for food and medical supplies for the children of castern and central Europe. This sum is requested by the council for feeding and caring for 3,000,000 children until the next harvest in September 1921. “No child can grow to health and sanity on the pitiful makeshifts for food with which millions of European adults must content themselves this winter” says the appeal which is signed by Herbert Hoover as chair- man and Franklin K.
