Al Lemons will show to much advantage in the part which he plays and his friends are expected to come in large numbers to witness this new role. How the simple faith and clean love of a girl brought a man to see that life is good, is brought out in “The Right of Way,” the feature pic- ture which will be shawn at the Ly- ceum for the second half of the week_ The star is Bert Lytell, and his part in this story by Sir Gilbert Parker, the Canadian novelist is considered one of the greatest that has ever been assigned to him. Parboil with 1-2 teaspoonful of soda. Put in a buttered baking dish a layer of beans and a layer of diced carrots. Cut the meat into strips and bury it in the vegetables. Add 1 teaspoonful of sugar to 1 cup of boiling water and pour over vegetables. Season with pepper and add water to cover. Bake two or three hours in a slow oven. . Sour Cream Cookics. 2 cups sugar. 1-2 cup butter. 1-4 cup lard. 3 eges. 1 cup sour cream. 1 teaspoon soda. 1-2 teaspoon salt. Nutmeg. Flour to roll. Cream shortening and sugar. Beat eggs well. Combine. Dissolve soda in cream. Add to first mixture. Add flour as little as possible, to roll. Roll on a floured molding board and cut with cookie cutter. Bake in a quick oven.
